Speaker Bio

Jennifer  Chittenden  Jennifer has been married to Jonathan for almost 14 years and is the mother of Jairus, age 9.5 and Griffi n, age 5.5. She began her homeschooling journey three years ago when it became obvious that regular schooling was not a viable option for Jairus, a highly gifted boy who also has disabilities. Realizing the necessity of homeschooling Jairus did not make the road smooth! It was soon apparent that “school at home” was not going to work any better than “school at school”. Jennifer then embarked on her own learning journey to fi gure out how best to help her son get back his joy of learning. She’s been from here to there and everywhere on the internet and with fellow homeschoolers in search of techniques and materials for teaching unique learners at home. As this quest continues, Jennifer has realized that what began as a chore has become a blessing and is grateful to be called to facilitate the education of such special children.
