Speaker Bio

Michelle  Ball  Michelle never imagined herself home schooling her children. She and her husband, Darren, who have been married for 15 years, were both on the career track. Public school was in the future for their two boys, now ages 8 and 5. However, when their oldest son reached preschool, it became very clear that the public school system was not a good fi t. That was when Michelle fi rst heard the term “highly gifted” applied to their son. After researching all options, Michelle and her family nervously entered the world of homeschooling. Although they have experienced many frustrations over the past 4 years, they’ve also shared many more happy times, and rejoice at this amazing opportunity to provide the best education possible for their children. In 2006 Michelle established CIGNET, a support group for Central Illinois families teaching their gifted children at home. Click here to view this speaker's products.
